The cerebellum is a highly organized structure located at the lower back of the brain. It controls motor, sensory and cognitive functions, in one of the lobes the cerebellum, Bergmann glial cells (red and green) lay down scaffolding that supports numerous other cells in the cerebellum (blue). The beautiful structure of the cerebellum in the postnatal mouse brain, with its distinctive radial organization, resembles the tail of a peacock.
